How To Self Tan Has Been Made Easier Than Sun Tanning

By Haywood Hunter

People like changes once in a while and looking different are one of them. Self tanning is a process and the question to ask yourself once you have decided to go down that road is how to self tan using a tanner. Well the answer to that is as follows.

The type of tanner one should use all depends on you, your preference may not be the same as the next person and also the skin types are also different and also the deepness of the pocket, that meaning if you are able to afford the brand or not. All this depends on you but make sure not to use a product just for the sake of it can cause serious problems.

The first thing you should do is know which tanner you are going to use. When shopping around for a tanner you will see that there are a lot of brands, you do not pick just any brand but what suites you, that is, what suites your skin type, quantity and what is pocket friendly.

After that you will need to take a bath. You may ask me why it is necessary, this is because you will need to remove all the dirt in you body and while at it you can use body scrubs to exfoliate or an exfoliating scrub to remove the dead cells on the skin. Do this slowly and carefully to make sure you do not miss any spot that is very important unless you want an uneven skin colour.

Then when you are done shave the unnecessary hair, this will make your work easier when applying the tan lotion as opposed to having all that hair, this lotion will not even be absorbed easily and we do not want that do we? So never take any chances with your body.

In the sensitive areas that is around the eyes, elbows and feet use another lotion like Vaseline so that they will not turn too dark, when applying the tanner in this areas just use a little bit than what you will use on the rest of the body.

Okay so you are all dry and wondering what next you should do, asking your self if you should start applying the particular lotion, well wait first. Apply another lotion that is not the tanner to some sensitive areas such as the elbows, feet, knees and eyebrows because the may turn and be a bit darker than the rest of the body and all you want is to achieve an even colour so do not forget this important step.

Finally, wait for an hour or so for you to dry up. The lotion needs to be absorbed by the skin and this will only be achieved when you do not interfere with the process by wearing clothes, just be patient. If you have a blow drier it can help in speeding up the process. You can repeat this whole process after four or five days. In a short time you will notice that there is a difference in your skin colour, even your friends will tell you.
