Aromatherapy heat wraps have a more relaxing effect because they boost your psych beyond working on your body. The substances used to provide the aroma will determine the materials you will need. Their quantities depend on body size and how these substances react once they come into contact with heat. The normal size of fabric used is an 8 by 30 inches cloth. You need two fabrics to effectively accomplish this mission. Other materials include a needle, thread and essential oils. Rice is the most common aroma provider in addition to herbs. Personal preferences determine the best combination.

The nature of fabric used affects your level of satisfaction. Common fabrics for wrapping include flannel, denim, cotton and Muslim. This fabric requires weaving so that rice or other aromatic substances used are held in place. Instead of buying a new fabric, you may recycle a towel, old t-shirt, socks, etc. They have a natural circular shape that holds on surfaces like the neck. The size of fabric used should facilitate easy wrapping.

The width of fabric used depends on substances to be filled. The length must fit the intended wrap area. After sewing, the wrap must be easy to tie around the neck or other target areas. Use quality fabric that allows the smell or arena to vaporize outwards. It helps to wrap the fabric tight around the target area.

To prepare the wrapping, sew the two fabrics into a pocket. Keep the stitches as close as possible in a way that they can hold herbs, rice and any other substances used in therapy. Do not close up both ends to allow filling. Choose a design and color that are pleasing to the eyes to enhance the therapeutic effect.

Instant rice should be avoided. If heating is to take place using a microwave, the rice will easily cook. This applies to all other substances used in provide the aroma. Ensure that they are not easily damaged by heating. When filling, leave a little space for flexibility. Wraps that are too stiff will not give the best results. Essential oils are added in drops depending on user instructions and expected outcome. The best approach is to use a single scent or a combination that will give desired results.

After adding rice, oil and desired herbs, close the wrap by sewing the opening that had been left. It is then heated over 30 seconds intervals to keep it hot enough for therapy. The content should be shaken well to distribute the heat. Heating should not exceed two minutes to avoid damage. The wrap and its content are then draped on the neck for an excellent feel.

Therapy remains an enhancement procedure and must never be used in place of treatment. Control heating temperature to avoid scalding the skin. Do not place the wrap on sensitive body parts or open wounds. A relative or friend assisting you will make the process faster, more effective and relaxing. Avoid losing heat between the microwave and wrapping.
